Keep Your Furniture Looking New

We have chosen the most beautiful, durable, and easy-to-clean fabrics for your Newport product. For maximum product-life, however, be sure you observe these important guidelines:

Check your Newport product for manufacturer's tag. On this tag, you should see one of the following cleaning codes marked: WS, W, S, X, or V. Adhere to the following cleaning guidelines in accordance with your product's cleaning code:

  • WS – Water-based cleaning agents and foam may be used for cleaning. This fabric may also be cleaned with mild, water-free dry cleaning solvents.

  • W – Water-based cleaning agents or foam may be used for cleaning.

  • S – Only mild pure water-free dry cleaning solvents may be used for cleaning this fabric.

  • X – This fabric should be vacuumed or brushed lightly to remove soil. WARNING: Do not use foam or liquid cleaning agents of any type.

  • V – This fabric should be washed with warm water and mild soap monthly. WARNING: Do not use cleanser or liquid cleaning agents of any type unless approved by the manufacturer.

AVOID DIRECT SUNLIGHT, which will eventually weaken any fabric and dull and fade colors.

CAUTION: Never remove cushion covers for separate dry cleaning or washing, even though they do have zippers. Do not use bleach at any time. The use of steam or water-based cleaners may cause excessive shrinking o staining of this particular fabric. Do not use any tumble method cleaning service, as this may destroy the backing of the fabric, shrink the fabric, or otherwise damage your furniture's upholstery.

For Newport Accessory Mirrors: Newport Mirrors are safe for most alcohol- or ammonia-based glass cleaners; however, we recommend furniture polish or warm water for cleaning mirror frames, as alcohol- or ammonia-based cleaners can damage the finish on your mirror's frame.
